Badri: Iraq plans to sign an agreement with Turkey to withdraw its troops from Mosul

National Alliance MP Ali al-Badri, Saturday, confirmed that the government will sign a new agreement with the Turkish counterpart, during a visit by Prime Minister Ben Ali Yildirim's upcoming visit to Baghdad, to determine the time frame for the withdrawal of Turkish troops from Mosul.

He said al-Badri, said that "the Iraqi delegation, sent by al-Abadi to Turkey earlier this month, reached a significant understandings with the Ankara government on the political crisis between the two countries," noting that "among those understandings between the two sides signed an agreement for the withdrawal of Turkish troops."

"The understandings brought a lot of views between the two sides on the crisis and the presence of Turkish troops in Mosul, and what provoked the crisis," noting that "the delegation briefed Abadi on details of his visit, and expressed great optimism in resolving the crisis."
