French President Francois Hollande arrived, on Monday, to Baghdad on an official visit for the conduct of the war against "terrorism."

An informed source said, in an interview with (long-Presse), "The French President Francois Hollande arrived in the early hours of Monday morning, to Baghdad International Airport, where senior officials will meet in the Iraqi government, to discuss developments in the war against al (Daesh)."

The French president had announced on Saturday (31 December 2016), that he would visit Iraq on Monday to draw "a tribute" to the French soldiers who take part in the war against al (Daesh).
