The 28th Arab summit, which will start with the meetings of senior officials of the Economic and Social Council, will start on Thursday with the participation of delegations from the ministries of social affairs and trade.

The meetings of the permanent representatives of the Arab League are due to begin next Saturday in preparation for the meeting of the Arab Economic and Social Council at the ministerial level.

Iraq's ambassador to Cairo, Habib al-Sadr, Iraq's permanent representative to the Arab League, said in an interview with Al-Sabah: "The Iraqi presence will be distinguished and effective since the first day of the start of the Arab summit," noting that "Iraq will urge the Conference to come out with resolutions and recommendations that meet the wishes The Arab masses, especially as we face significant challenges that require this. "

"We want our Arab brothers to stand with Iraq in its current fight against terrorism and its support and support in line with the remarkable victories achieved by our forces in the liberation of Mosul," Sadr said.

"Iraq is also looking forward to supporting its brothers in the process of returning displaced people to their areas and villages and contributing to the reconstruction of cities destroyed by terrorists to enable displaced people to return to their homes," Sadr said.

"Iraq will renew its request to restore the seat of Syria in order to end the Arab dispute and dialogue with the Syrians in preparation for ending the cycle," Sadr said.

"Iraq aspires to resolve the Palestinian issue peacefully and to end the suffering of the Palestinians, in addition to our distress with the plight of the Yemeni and Libyan peoples. War in it ".
