Saudi Arabia plans to cancel Iraq's past debts

Saudi Arabia plans to cancel Iraq's previous debts and open a flight from Riyadh to Baghdad and Najaf as part of boosting relations between the two countries.
"Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Ishaqir al-Jaafari met with Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir on the sidelines of a meeting of the international coalition against terrorist gangs in Washington, DC," a Foreign Ministry statement said.
"The two sides agreed on the need to exchange visits between officials of the two countries, including the ministers of trade and industry in the coming period," the two sides said, adding that the two sides discussed bilateral relations and the development they witnessed during the past period, ways of deepening them and opening new horizons for joint cooperation in all fields.
