IMF trims $ 2 billion loan to Iraq
Saturday, April 8
Announced in Iraq the reduction of the loan requested by the International Monetary Fund worth two billion dollars.
The member of the Finance Committee in the House of Representatives Abdul Qadir Mohammed said in a press statement Saturday that the value of the loan requested by the International Monetary Fund has been reduced from 15 billion to 13 billion dollars for many reasons.
He added that the reason for the IMF's reduction in the value of the loan is due to the improvement in international oil prices, in addition to the inability of Iraq to pay the $ 15 billion during the period scheduled for him, noting that the Fund will transfer these funds in the form of industrial grants, trade and agriculture, Budget Deficit.
