Statement: Masoum and Jabouri meet with heads of parliamentary blocs in the Iraqi Council of Representatives


Iraqi President Fuad Masum and Speaker of the Parliament Salim al-Jubouri held a meeting of heads of parliamentary blocs in the House of Representatives.

Informed sources said that the meeting discussed the victories achieved by the Iraqi forces and preparations for the post-urging and the importance of creating the conditions for comprehensive reconciliation and remove the effects of terrorism and the return of displaced people and the reconstruction of war-affected areas.

The meeting also discussed means of coordination between the legislative and executive authorities and the acceleration of the legislation of important laws, especially the deferred ones, which need political consensus, stressing the need to abide by the Constitution in terms of resolving outstanding problems and crisis response in addition to inviting all blocs and parties to make more hurdles in order to reach solutions And understandings about deferred laws and outstanding issues.
