BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi announced on Sunday that Iraq would resume its discussions with the International Fund for Human Rights on Friday to review Iraq's $ 5.4 billion credit deal, likely to release $ 840 million by next June.
Saleh said that 'an Iraqi delegation headed by the Minister of Finance and Abdul Razzaq al-Issa will go to the US capital Washington this week to discuss the credit agreement signed by Iraq in 2015, which includes lending Iraq 5.4 billion dollars,' noting that 'Iraq has so far received one billion and a quarter billion Dollars'.
"The delegation will start its meetings with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank on Friday to three days," Saleh said, likely to 'release $ 840 million by next June'.
The source added that 'the delegation includes in addition to Al-Issa, the Governor of the Central Bank Ali Alaq and officials of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Oil, the Ministry of Planning, the Oil Marketing Company (SOMO), the Central Statistical Organization and the Financial Control Bureau as well as representatives of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
