First: Reading verses from the Holy Quran.

Second: Vote on the form of a decision obliging the Ministry of Electricity to purchase its needs from the Ministry of Industry and the products of its companies. (Legal Committee).

Third: The vote on the proposed law to amend the law of the High Commission for Human Rights No. (53) for the year 2008. (Commission on Human Rights, the Legal Committee).

The House of Representatives votes to amend the law of the Commission on Human Rights and extends its current legislative term of one month

The House voted in its 30th Ordinary Session held under the chairmanship of Dr. Salim Al-Jubouri, Speaker of the Council, in the presence of 175 deputies on Saturday 29/4/2017 on the law of amending the law of the Commission on Human Rights and extending the current legislative term for one month.

At the beginning of the session, President Jabouri denounced the council's name as targeting the Karrada area with a terrorist operation that demonstrates the sanctity of terrorism and its supporters, calling on the security services to take precautions and take security measures to protect civilians.



The Council voted to approve the extension of the current legislative term for a period of one month after the end of the current legislative term today, at the request of the Speaker of the House of Representatives in order to complete the important legislative tasks and monitoring of the interrogations.

President al-Jubouri announced the agreement of the Presidency of the Council on the date of the next 11-5 date for the questioning of the Minister of Agriculture after it was scheduled today, noting that the absence of the minister questioned will be given the opportunity to complete the interrogation in absentia, calling the respondent to provide evidence and evidence or if not submitted It will consider the questioning request withdrawn by the Attorney questioner.



The Council voted on a parliamentary decision to oblige the Ministry of Electricity to purchase its needs from the Ministry of Industry and the products of its companies in support of the national economy and the operation of Iraqi labor and maintain public money.



The Council also voted on the proposal to amend the law of the High Commission for Human Rights No. (53) for the year 2008 submitted by the Human Rights and Legal Committees for the purpose of explaining the role of the UN Office for Human Rights in Iraq to select the candidates for membership of the Board of Commissioners, which is represented by oversight and providing advice and technical support.



The council began voting on the draft law on the reform of inmates and depositors submitted by the committees of labor, social affairs, legal, security, defense and human rights.

The deputy governor of Zamili read out a statement condemning the soldiers and border police in Ramadi to terrorist operations by gangs, calling the criminal, indicating that the committee has formed an investigative committee on the subject and will be referred to the security officials and the military courts, calling for the prevention of the arrival or joining of soldiers and members The border police from these areas only through a military assault and secure the use of air effort to hunt down gangs in the desert Anbar and strengthen the forces of the capture of the Anbar and work on the liberation of all the territory still under the control of the terrorist organization and called on the regulators to follow up Existing units where the presence of large numbers of aliens and the weakness of armament.

The MP Ali al-Aalak issued a statement on behalf of the Endowment and Religious Affairs Committee in which he pointed to the achievement of Iraq for important achievements in the fields of science, literature and arts besides military victories, noting that the Iraqi readers have made important achievements in the competitions of the Koran, especially after 2003, which saw a great renaissance Quran, To support the reference and religious schools and religious endowments for this religious activity, offering congratulations to achieve the advanced ranks in the Koran contest in Tehran with the participation of 83 countries where Iraq received second place in the recitation of the Koran and the third place in the world in the conservation of the Koran and The third position globally in the Conservation of the Holy Blind and the third place globally for the recitation of the Qur'an for the Blind.

In a statement on behalf of the Committee on Tourism and Antiquities, MP Ali Sharif al-Maliki congratulated the Iraqi people on liberating the urban city from the clutches of the organization calling on the terrorist and the victories achieved by the security forces.

He called on UNESCO to take a serious stand to support and rehabilitate the cities and archaeological sites. He called on the Iraqi government to intensify its efforts and develop an urgent rescue plan To protect the effects of smuggling and highlight the crimes committed by the terrorist organization against the heritage and cultural heritage of Iraq.

On the other hand, the Council completed the first reading of the proposed law of the Union of Iraqi Publishers, submitted by the committees of civil society organizations, culture, media and legal, which came to the importance of the role played by Iraqi publishers from the dissemination of culture and science and the arts and being a large cultural and industrial sector, it is necessary to organize in the Union Unite and unite their visions to serve this important segment and defend their rights and develop their work and pursuant to article 22 (III) of the Iraqi Constitution.



The Presidency decided to postpone the reading of both the report and the discussion of the proposal of the law of protection of diversity and prevention of discrimination submitted by the committees of human rights, endowments and religious affairs and the report and discussion of the draft law of the first amendment of the Law of Antiquities and Heritage No. 55 of 2002 submitted by the committees of tourism, request of the competent committees.



The Presidency postponed the reading of a report and discussion of a draft law to include the Judicial Institute to the judiciary and submitted by the Legal Committee to a future session for the purpose of taking a decision on whether to proceed with its legislation or not, in addition to postponement of the report and discussion of the draft law of the third amendment to the Law of Governorates not organized in the region No. (21) 2008 submitted by the legal and the gardens regions and governorates not organized in a region.

The President of the Council noted the need to find a mechanism to maintain the quorum for the presence of ladies and gentlemen deputies in the coming sessions in order to complete the important legislation, including the provincial elections law.



Then decide to adjourn the meeting on Sunday 30/4/2017.
