The Oil and Energy Committee hosts the Minister of Oil to discuss the law of the National Oil Company

The Oil and Energy Committee, chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Erez Abdullah, hosted the Minister of Oil on Sunday 14/5/2017.

During the meeting, the National Oil Company Law was discussed and the views of the deputies were heard.

The deputy said that he sent a letter to the Iraqi government to approach the Ministry of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan region to involve them in drafting the law and listen to its observation in addition to oil producing provinces in order to reach a compromise formula for approval as soon as possible and unanimously. A number of topics related to the work of the companies affiliated to the ministry, such as lines and pipelines, were also discussed in order to develop their work to serve the public interest and increase their production.
