Ninewa announces the liberation of Bab Sinjar neighborhood in Ayman Mosul

   The commander of the 34th Brigade of the 9th Armored Division of the Iraqi Army, Brigadier General Saleh Harz announced the completion of his forces on Thursday the liberation of Bab Sinjar on the right coast of Mosul and the elimination of many terrorists there.

   He said in a statement to Radio Al-Marbad that by liberating Bab Sinjar, all roads were cut towards the old city and the terrorists were completely surrounded. He expected the next 48 hours to witness the storming of the city.

   He added that the 9th Armored Division will not participate in the storming of the Old City because the area is characterized by narrow alleys that do not allow the entry of vehicles, indicating that its forces will have the task of encircling the city and tightening the screws on the terrorists in them and protect the units that will be the intrusion, The military as well as the counterterrorism apparatus.

   He added that his forces and in the early stages of the incursion will advance in the Old City to open safe corridors for the exit of the remaining civilians, after the recent departure of most of them from the area, while at the same time to provide civilians to the security services with a lot of information about the whereabouts of terrorists and their gatherings there.
