MP Ahmad Haji Rashid said the central bank fears the deepening of the problems of Arbil and Baghdad because of the announcement of the date of the referendum because it would cause the great damage to the central bank.

The Central Bank of Iraq has announced in mid-year this year to open two branches in the provinces of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah in the Kurdistan region and the appointment of a number of experts to them.

The Kurdish parties, except the Movement for Change and the Islamic Group decided on the seventh of June last in a meeting under the supervision of the President of the Kurdistan Region Massoud Barzani, a referendum for the independence of the province on September 25 next.
