Fitch credit agency: Iraq's economy and its classification will not be affected by the referendum
BAGHDAD - Iraq's credit rating will be limited in the near term if the status quo between the Baghdad government and the Kurdistan Regional Government remains the same, according to Fitch Ratings.
Fitch pointed out that the referendum in the Kurdistan region shows continued political risks of Iraq, and highlights the deep political divisions in Iraq, although it is difficult to predict the implications in the short term.
The agency predicted that the current situation between the governments of Baghdad and the Kurdistan region is very much the same. Finished
