After the announcement of Prime Minister Dr. Haider Abadi victory on the organization of "da'ash" terrorist, escalated the importance of reconstruction and move the wheel of the economy, as the Iraqi diplomacy succeeded in gaining regional and international support and culminating in these steps to the Kuwait Reconstruction Conference after Iraq's oil plans came fruit, international markets.
In this regard, expert Rahim al-Shammari said that "what is achieved is an important starting point, and that the road is still long, so we need to join hands to make the success of reconstruction and development plans."
"Iraq has suffered economically over the past four years because of low oil prices, but what has been adopted has reduced the damage, and attention is now being directed towards the construction process, which requires billions of dollars and real international support," Shammari said.


Development Plans
Al-Shammari's statement coincides with the announcement by Minister of Planning Dr. Salman Al-Jumaili to move ahead with the implementation of the development plans and reconstruction plans in Iraq without being influenced by the mechanisms of the political process and what will result from them.
"The Ministry of Planning and the government have adopted in their development plans to institutionalize the work and follow the scientific mechanisms and standards that ensure the continuation of the implementation of the strategic projects," Jumaili said in a statement received by Al-Sabah.
Al-Jumaili revealed "the confirmation of 11 countries that participated in the Kuwait conference to commit financial commitments pledged to Iraq," stressing that "the electronic platform established by the Ministry will be a very important database for all projects that will be funded from international commitments, whether grants or loans Investment ".


Supervision and follow-up
He added that "the budget of 2018 included good financial allocations will help local governments in those provinces to complete many of the basic projects," pointing out that "the Ministry of Planning will take over the supervision and follow-up on such projects in coordination and cooperation with the relevant bodies."


Damage to buildings
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Planning has already launched a national document for the reconstruction of liberated areas for 10 years for the years 2018-2022 and identified the need for 100 billion dollars for reconstruction, and the ministry conducted an extensive survey to assess and assess the damage to economic activities as a result of terrorist acts, 8 thousand economic units damaged by these acts, while damage to residential buildings of the private sector in the provinces that were exposed to terrorist acts about 19 trillion dinars.
