Manaolana: Frank, it was an AWESOME CC tonight, but describing it as awesome doesn't seem to do it justice. Let me try saying it another way. It was the BEST 5-STAR CC EVER!

Tonight's CC TRUMPS all the others, and no doubt the next one will supersede this one too!
Did you notice it too? It seems that every article is filled with a lot of PAZZAZZ!!!

Walkingstick, "Iraq's Economy is Entering a Unprecedented Historical Turn."

Delta, "Currency Window, Where To?" Don961, "Arab Banks Demands a Legislative Framework for Payment Institutions that Support Financial Inclusion."

Samson, "Iraq's Capital Hosts 10th International Flower Festival."

I had to throw that one in for all you flower-loving people out there. Samson is responsible for whipping out a number of incredible articles. Go Samson!!!

If these articles could zap itself into a star-studded Iraqi celebrity...like a Hollywood who's who, wow, imagine the headlines, the words, the phrases, and pictures. Inquiring minds want to know. It would give the Enquirer a run for its money at the grocery store check-out stand wouldn't it?

That is the change I noticed when reading the articles lately. The words, the phrases, pics just grabs your attention immediately! Perhaps, it was planned that way, to lure the reader...ah, no..."FOR THE CITIZENS!" Yep, got it! Very telling what they are doing.

They aren't afraid to flaunt it, that is, what they are saying, because it's already done!

Walkingstick, "When you see it in print, it's done."

One might think Alak's words a tad bit of arrogance, but IMO, a flare of BRAGGADOCIO...SHOWOFF!!! Wink! Wink!

Just so pleased with all that we are seeing, reading, and sharing. Every passing day, hour, minute, nano-second is riding...writing itself into the history books!

Are you comprehending the magnitude of what is happening in Iraq family?

We could not be in a better place than where we are at this very moment, simply because of the tremendous dedication, tireless efforts, and amazing sacrifice thanks to Frank, Tink, Walkingstick, Delta, I-Teams, AG, our Newshounds: Samson, Don961, JJones, JLB, Militia Man for his contributions, Cinderella, IOBEY, Randy, Andy, Admin Staff, and all who work behind the scenes. Great job everyone!!! 5-STAR CC...FOR THE CITIZENS!!!

DarkKnight: The Supreme Iraqi Court: Article 140 is in force and must be implemented

The Federal Supreme Court issued a decision on constitutional article 140, noting that it is one of the important articles of the Constitution and does not die in any way.

The legal expert pointed out that "the Kurds have been busy during the last period of building Iraq to live all Iraqi people under the state in all their components after 80 years of dictatorship and become a federal democracy," but added that "it appeared that those who ascend the throne of power in Iraq governed by mentality Previous itself ".

Samson: The stability of oil prices as the dollar continues near its highest level

1st May, 2018

Saw oil prices on Tuesday, with a stable continuation of the dollar near its highest level in four months , while crude draws support from fears that US President Donald Trump withdraw from the nuclear deal with Iran.

By 0649 GMT, US WTI crude for June delivery was down two years at $ 68.59 a barrel after rising 47 cents on Monday.

Brent crude for July delivery rose 1 cent to $ 74.70 and settled for June on Monday after rising 53 cents to settle at $ 75.17.

Oil prices rose yesterday after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stepped up pressure on the United States to withdraw from a nuclear deal signed with Iran in 2015 when he offered what he described as evidence of a secret Iranian nuclear weapons program. Tehran has consistently denied seeking nuclear weapons.

Trading was quiet in Asia as many markets such as China, India and Singapore closed on public holidays. LINK

Washington is close to closing North Korea's file and is dedicated to Iran

The United States is racing to find a solution to the North Korean nuclear disarmament crisis and then devote itself to resolving Iran's nuclear file, which worries major powers in Europe and the Middle East and is highly regarded by the global business community.

The administration of US President Donald Trump is re-employing the "brinkmanship" strategy that is bearing fruit in Washington's dealings with Pyongyang, but this time with Tehran, which finds itself increasingly isolated every day amid escalating Western pressure and identifying target items to " Rather than abolishing it.

North Korea, fearing Trump's unexpected behavior, is looking forward to the outcome of a coordinated international process ahead of May 12, when the US Congress will consider whether the United States can continue as a party to the nuclear deal or re-impose tough economic sanctions on Iran again.

But the biggest gainers from new US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, on his first visit to the region since taking office last week, are Iran's adversaries in the region.

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir called Sunday for a "joint improvement" in the nuclear deal with Iran.

"Saudi Arabia supports efforts to improve Iran's nuclear agreement," al-Jubair said. "We believe that the period when the amount of uranium enrichment must be limited must be abolished and be permanent."

"We also believe there should be an intensification of inspections" of Iran's nuclear facilities and the imposition of further economic sanctions on Iran.

Pompey said Iran was "destabilizing the region, supporting militias and terrorist groups and working as a weapons dealer, arming the Huthi rebels in Yemen, Iran carrying out cybercrime campaigns and supporting the deadly Assad regime."

"Unlike the previous administration, we do not ignore Iran's widespread terrorism," he said.
US national security adviser John Bolton said on Sunday that "Trump has not yet made a decision whether to withdraw from the Iranian nuclear deal or not."

This is one aspect of Trump's policy of keeping the world "bogged down" by its actual intentions with regard to the nuclear deal, which observers say will not only be nuclear in the future but will also include political aspects that are in agreement with Washington and its European and Arab allies.

The United States wants to give the impression that Iran's nuclear file has become a priority for the US administration, having made a qualitative breakthrough in relations with North Korea, which is opening up to Seoul and Tokyo ahead of a summit that will bring together Trump in Kim Jong-un.

"The Iranian crisis is the most serious compared to the Korean crisis. In the latter we are talking about a peace agreement that will replace the Panmunjom truce agreement in 1953," said Patrick Cockburn, a British writer. "It is not Iran that is North Korea that should be worrying. Ignite any inter-Korean war in 65 years, despite a few sporadic clashes. "

"Iran, which is competing with the United States for influence in the fierce war in Syria and the one that has been in Iraq and has now weakened, the war can easily break out," Cockburn said in a commentary in Britain's A newspaper.

If Iran shows willingness to make concessions by negotiating a new deal on its missile program and influence in the region, it will be an outlet for European powers whose companies are looking to sign deals with Iranian companies in billions of dollars.

Analysts say that Pompeiro showed during his visit to Riyadh that the Trump administration does not intend to give this advantage to the Iranians free of charge. The US insistence that Iran automatically subject the crisis to Iran to the top of Trump's priorities in the next phase, which will marginalize much less important files, such as the Gulf crisis and the isolation of Qatar.

Qatar hoped the boycott would be a top priority for Pompeii, but it has become the biggest loser of this visit, according to Western diplomats.

Pompeo, who held talks with senior Saudi officials, including King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has disappointed the ruling regime in Qatar, he said, not explicitly referring to the crisis in Doha.

Doha wanted Pompio to speak clearly of an American desire to end the quartet boycott of Qatar, but showed through his visit to Riyadh that he is completely different from his predecessor Rex Tilerson. This difference was clearly demonstrated by Pompeo's dedication to much of his press conference with al-Jubayr and Iran's policy on regional stability and US security through its "support for terrorism".

Political sources noted that the Qatari media, headed by Al-Jazeera, focused on the report by the New York Times in the New York Times that he wanted to mediate between the four provinces - Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt on the one hand and Qatar on the other.

But the Secretary of State's words as he leaves Riyadh revealed that he is in another world and that all his concern is to confront the Iranian threat, including the missiles supplied by Iran and the Houthis, which are launched towards Saudi territory.
