Sistani's office expects tomorrow the first month of Dhu al-Hijjah and Wednesday the first day of Eid al-Adha

The office of the supreme religious authority, Ali al-Sistani, expected Sunday the next day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, while noting that Wednesday, the 22nd of August, the first day of Eid al-Adha.

"The crescent of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah is expected to be on the evening of the 12th of this month on the horizon of the holy city of Najaf at sunset at 6:50 pm, "He said.


"In this case, the crescent is expected to be seen clearly," he said, adding that "Wednesday, the 22nd of August, will be the first day of Eid al-Adha."

It should be noted that it is stated in the introduction to the booklet that "these calculations do not represent the opinion of the religious authority, but are merely astronomical expectations, because the beginning of the lunar months depend on the proven vision of the crescent law.
