An asteroid is approaching Earth and NASA warns of catastrophic consequences

NASA has spotted an asteroid called "SP1" from Earth, the Daily Express reported.
The precise size of the asteroid is still unknown. NASA estimates that it is 70 to 160 meters in length, and according to the newspaper it exceeds the height of the famous Big Ben clock.
According to the US space agency that the asteroid, moving at a speed of up to 36,700 miles per hour, and that it will be as close as possible to the Earth on the third of October.
To fly at an altitude of 15.8 kilometers above the Earth, a distance of 15 times the distance between the earth and the moon.
Although the distance is so large that in the event of a collision with the Earth will lead to catastrophic consequences large.
The asteroid was first seen on Sept. 19 and was classified by the US space agency as a near-Earth asteroid.
