{Baghdad: Al-Furat News} The House of Representatives is considering the establishment of an institute to develop and train the capabilities of new deputies.

A statement issued by the Office of the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives received the agency {Euphrates News} a copy of it that the First Deputy Hassan Karim al-Kaabi discussed the establishment of the Parliamentary Development Institute to rehabilitate the capabilities of members of the House of Representatives for the current session and develop their legislative and supervisory performance and enable them to appear media and presence among the people.

The statement added that al-Kaabi "received the delegation of the German International Cooperation Organization (Giz} under the chairmanship of [Angela Lancab] in his office on Thursday, and stressed during the meeting on the need to activate cooperation between the House of Representatives and international organizations concerned as well as civil society institutions on training programs and benefit from existing expertise In order to enhance the work of the legislative institution and its parliamentary committees and improve the performance of its employees. "

He stressed "the need to accelerate the work of long-term programs to develop parliamentary skills and development of legislative performance and oversight of deputies."
