Federal Court decides to elect an expert for the appeals in the law of the National Oil Company

The Federal Supreme Court decided on Sunday to elect an expert to submit a technical and financial report on the appeals contained in some articles of the National Oil Company Law No. (4) of 2018.
"The Federal Supreme Court held its session, headed by Judge Medhat al-Mahmoud and the presence of all members of the judges, and considered appeals received on articles in the law of the National Oil Company," the court spokesman Ayas al-Samuk said in a statement received by the Journal News.
He added that "the court found after reviewing the case and the regulations exchanged between the parties, that the appeals involve technical and financial aspects that require the use of one or more experts."
He pointed out that "the report that must be provided by the expert includes a comparison between the draft law submitted by the government, and the articles of the law enacted by the House of Representatives, and whether the adjustments of the financial burden on the government?".
"The task of the expert also includes clarification whether the current amendments to the project has exceeded the role of the National Oil Company, as stated in the draft government and resulted in financial obligations not calculated."
He added that "the court decided to elect an expert after leaving the parties to the case, while I decided to invite the expert elected to task and task sworn in on 9/10/2018, and to postpone the hearing to 6/11/2018, to give him time to submit his report."
