Introduction:
Iraq entered a new phase after defeating the forces of darkness and terrorism and liberating its lands, cities and towns after great sacrifices made by the Iraqi people in all its components and colors. The political arena witnessed a remarkable development through the formation of the new government, which set a program to meet challenges and achieve security and economic stability, provide services, address unemployment and complete legislation. Iraq urgently needs dialogue and internal and external dialogue, and needs to find effective ways to achieve stability and prosperity.



On the occasion of the five years since the establishment of the Rafidain Center for Dialogue RCD and 100 days on the formation of the Iraqi government headed by Dr. Adel Abdul Mahdi and under the title (Mesopotamia) organized the Rafidain Center for Dialogue RCD The first annual dialogue forum at the Good Hotel on 3-5 February 2019



Goals of the Forum:
- Promoting dialogue, civil peace, stability and reconciliation among the various Iraqi components.

- Promoting intellectual debate among national and foreign stakeholders on the main challenges facing Iraq.

- Exchange of visions on how to promote economic and security and achieve socio-political development.

- Baghdad, the city of peace doors wide open for all, enter it safely.



Themes:
The Rafidain Forum will include discussion sessions, workshops and plenary sessions covering different axes, as follows:
1. Reconstruction, reconciliation, reform and the need for a new social contract.
2. The role of women and youth and partnership with civil society in development.
3 - dynamics of regional powers and their impact on Iraq.
4. Combating terrorism and extremism in Iraq and its impact on regional stability.
5 - Iraqi government in 100 days: visions and achievements.
6. Prospects for promoting good governance in Iraq, combating corruption, reforming the judiciary and administrative reform.
7 - Iraq's energy and water sector and infrastructure projects.
8. Banking sector, securities and investment opportunities in Iraq.

The workshops will be held on February 3 and will be announced later.



Participants:
The conference will be attended by Iraqi and regional and international political and economic figures, as well as researchers and academics from Iraqi, Arab and international universities, local, regional and international research centers and experts from international governmental and non-governmental organizations.
