Reuters: UN Security Council draft resolution looking to address Daash in Iraq

Looking Security Council of the United Nations, during this week a draft resolution to address the organization "Daash" through weaken them financially and prevent the flow of foreign fighters and the threat of sanctions on those who are involved in recruiting fighters for the organization and help him.

And denouncing the draft resolution prepared by Britain and got "Reuters" a copy of which trade direct or indirect with "Daash" The front wing of al Qaeda victory in Syria.



The draft resolution threatens to impose sanctions on anyone who does that, and calls upon States to provide the names of individuals and entities that are believed to be supporting the two groups. And determines the initial text of the draft resolution, which was discussed by members of the UN Security Council last Friday, leaders of the "Daash" to be the target of sanctions and a freeze on assets and a travel ban.

He said Britain's ambassador to the UN Mark Lyall Grant said the vote on the draft resolution may be in later this week. And Britain targeted initially issuing the decision by the end of the month but it has accelerated from its plan.


The United Nations, diplomats said, speaking on condition of anonymity that the council is united, apparently in the face of the greatest threat to Iraq since the overthrow of Saddam in 2003.

The draft resolution "calls upon all Member States to take measures to prevent the flow of foreign terrorists to the fighters of the Islamic State and Front victory and all the individuals, groups, institutions and other entities associated with al-Qaeda."

The resolution will ask UN experts charged with monitoring violations of the sanctions imposed by the Council on the base to report "within 90 days on the threat posed by Daash and sources of arming, funding and make recommendations to take further action to address the threat."



The draft resolution falls under Chapter VII of the UN Charter, which gives the Council the power to impose economic sanctions or decisions of military force.
