UN appoints head of mission in Iraq envoy for the Middle East

Twilight News / diplomats said on Wednesday, the Security Council approved the appointment of Bulgarian diplomat Nikolai Mladenov UN envoy to the Middle East, replacing Dutchman Robert Serry.
And Mladenov (42 years), who was a UN envoy in Iraq since 2013 will succeed Robert Serry, who hold the position since 2007.
According to one of these diplomats, none of the 15 members of the Council did not object to the decision of the Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon set Mladenov in this post.
And Mladenov, who was foreign minister and defense in his country, headed the UN mission in Iraq in the rise of the terrorist organization Daash which launched in the summer of 2013, a large-scale attack in the wake time dominated by the large parts of the country as from neighboring Syria.
