CBI closed 190 banking offices for violating the legal requirements

BAGHDAD / expert center for the Iraqi Media Network – Central Bank of Iraq for close to 190 banking offices in Baghdad and the provinces for violating the legal requirements imposed by the bank.

The deputy governor of the Bank for the appearance of Mohammed (Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network) that “the Bank closed 190 offices of the banking license, but it has violated the conditions of work and the legal owners of non-response increase their capital.”

He added that “the number of offices currently operating in the provinces is the number of 450 offices to get rid of its functions and banking remittances of foreign currency.”

He said the deputy governor of the bank that “the courts of the right to take legal action if there was an argument in Cash settlements between individuals outside of banks on the grounds that non-banking offices licensed work illegally.”

The main tasks of the Iraqi Central Bank to maintain price stability, and the implementation of monetary policy, including exchange rate policies, and management of reserves of foreign currency, and the issuance of currency management, in addition to regulating the sector banks.
