Revealed by the Economic Commission for coalition, the Iraqi deputy Nora Salem Albjara, the federal government's intention to apply the Tariff Act after two years from now, criticizing the decision as to Aasb the interests of the national economy.
The Albjara (for the Agency news) on Thursday: The federal government demanded that the House of Representatives agreeing to postpone the application of the Tariff Act for two years two more on the pretext that they are not qualified to implement the law and needs to be enough time for its implementation, stressing that this decision will hurt the national economy by keeping Rieia dependent on oil.
She added that most of the parliamentary economic committee members objected to the decision to postpone it does not hurt the interests of the economy, because it is a law in support of the domestic product and make it a competitor for the foreign product, while there are some lawmakers who support the postponement for reasons described Balphenah.
Stated: that the parliamentary Committee on Economics will be held a special conference attended by dignitaries from the government to discuss the reasons for postponing the implementation of the Tariff Act to two additional years, even though the law has been postponed more than once.
The Ministry of Finance had already been identified in the February 16, 2012 the first of June as the date for the direct tariff for all goods entering Iraq to support the production, industry, local agriculture and the reduction of dumping poor, while the Council of Ministers in its session of (22) last June the House of Representatives postpone the application of the Tariff Act until the completion of procedures, tools and means of application of the law provides that the Ministry of Finance, the practical and technical reasons unexplained to wait the required time and roof to postpone the application of the law.
