Iraqi source familiar with in Baghdad revealed that the Iraqi authorities prevented the former Prime Minister and Vice President of the Republic, who canceled his Nuri al-Maliki of travel and that a decision of the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, who ordered the prevention of a number of officials from traveling.
The source, who preferred not to be named, said: orders of Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi issued travel ban on a number of Iraqi officials on the background of being accused of corruption in the files.
The source indicated that al-Abadi "instructed to prevent travel seven other senior officials to outside Iraq" without the source determines their names.
Adding that: "Abadi is also ban travel by air and land to a number of officials in the Iraqi government to those who are the rank of director and above, until the completion of the special files of corruption investigations have been opened recently."
For his part, Vice President Nuri al-Maliki said he was "not afraid to appear before the Iraqi judiciary."
Maliki said in a statement broadcast Kaaajl across the screen space that Covenant "What broadcast via satellite from some news of him reflects the bankruptcy of those channels."
