Baghdad-Iraq-Presse -12 November: Captain journalists pro-Lami said the union was forced to send many journalists out of Iraq or other cities with their families for their own safety after being threatened as a result of their opposition to file corruption.

Al-Lami said in his speech during the celebration of the Journalists' Syndicate on the occasion of the World Day to face crimes against journalists, "The Iraqi journalists working in a safe environment and still full of risks may proceed from official calculated on the responsibility because the press wants to fight corruption and struggling."

He added: "We have dozens of journalists who have threatened in recent period, others sent them out of Iraq in order to preserve their lives and the lives of their families and some of the city transferred them to another city."

He said al-Lami "Also, some of the journalists threatened in Mosul, Ramadi and Tikrit are now in Baghdad and Kurdistan and other areas fear for their lives because they are the last bunch of democracy."

He called Captain journalists: "The government and parliament not to interfere in the affairs of the work of the independent media bodies that must be for the independent media will not accept or allow otherwise we are serious about this because the future of Iraq is greater than official tries to captures the independent body here or there."

He called al-Lami officials and politicians to "leave the independent media, because we are fighting a battle against terrorism is a media where 90%", calling at the same time, "the security services that are thinking seriously accountability and bring the killers of journalists to be behind bars."

He revealed "the existence of joint committees did with the judiciary to bring those who target and threaten and attack journalists, whether they are young or senior officials Whatever Khalafaathm partisan and political will Akhaevana it."

He said captain journalists, "We will not allow Politicians and protect them or their relatives any attack on journalists and the media are going to bring it from threatening journalists and make him behind bars," calling on "all governments, particularly the release of the owners of Arab opinion and call free".
