He said Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari's office said in a statement received (range Press), a copy of which, "The Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari, met with Secretary General of the League of Arab States in Cairo, Nabil Elaraby," noting that "During the meeting, they discussed the diplomatic crisis between Tehran and Riyadh and discussed ways mitigation to avoid the expansion of the crisis and maintain the stability and the continuation of relations between the countries of the region. "

The al-Jaafari, according to the statement, that "Iraq will invest its relations with the countries of the region to calm down, and resolve the crisis by peaceful means and stems from the Arab depth, and Muslim in the move toward resolving the crisis and prevent its repercussions," noting that "it was agreed with the Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil Elaraby to spare the region tensions and preserve the Arab relations with Turkey and Iran. "

He said al-Jaafari, "We are not with any aggression, and differentiate between the state assault and elements of any state do not want to judge any country by certain elements", stressing that "we do not want the nation to be exposed to crack in their relations; therefore we seek to put the concepts we believe they are correct and preserve the dignity of the Arab nation and its sovereignty and preserve its relations with the rest of the world. "

He continued foreign minister, that "the Iraqi initiative aims to calm the situation between Riyadh and Tehran and move the region away from the war," adding, that "the peoples of the region as a whole recognizes the importance of maintaining the security of the region and its interests and relations of neighborliness and not to engage in any tension that would make the region on the cusp of something named a war. "

For his part, Secretary General of the Arab League, Nabil Elaraby, the need to "exclude any kind of differences and respect the laws and not to allow interventions", pointing out that, "We are trying by all means that things do not develop and lead to disorders unnecessary."
