The Commission on the economy and investment representative, said on Monday that the economic situation of the Iraq forced the government to impose new taxes on cars, cigarettes and other port as part resolve this situation.
Said committee member Najiba Najib's / scales News /, that "the difficult situation faced by Iraq of a lack of revenue and increased commitments such as war against Daash, forcing the state to take several measures, including increased taxes on cars, cigarettes and other, as they are not used by everyone." .
Najib added, "These measures although it affects the lives of citizens, but Nha is not applied to all segments of Iraqi society, with the exception of those who use the purposes of taxes imposed on them."
The government has announced to start the application of taxes and customs tariffs on cars, alcohol and cigarettes by 20%. It ended 29/38
