Carter: We will support the Iraqi forces battle of Mosul

Said US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter, Monday, that Iraqi forces are will lead the battle of Mosul and he expects supplying additional forms of support in the battle of the restoration of the city of Mosul, stressing that the military operations by the United States carried out in the framework of the international coalition against al Daash in Iraq and Syria, accelerated in recent days, which saw the start of a truce between the warring Syrian parties.
Carter said in a press conference at the Pentagon about the developments of the region that "the cease-fire in Syria, which came into force at dawn on Saturday does not include operations against Daash," adding that his country is continuing to pursue the organization until his defeat.
"The coalition led by the United States in the face of the organization Daash expected to supply the Iraqi forces additional forms of support in the battle of the restoration of the city of Mosul."
Mr Carter said that because of the coalition's decision last year to accelerate the pace of the campaign against the organization, "the driving force now is not on our side along Daash."
Carter said Gen. Joseph Dunford chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said that "Iraqi forces will lead the coming battle of Mosul by US forces will provide the same support provided in the Battle of Ramadi, in the past year.
But Carter said that US forces also expects to provide additional types of support offered to be submitted at the Battle of Ramadi, but there was no need it, such as logistical support.
He added that the operations against Daash in Libya may continue, within the pursuit of the organization's strategy in the region, pointing out that the prosecution may require a longer time.
And accept Carter during a press conference a number of challenges facing the United States, including the follow-up implementation of the nuclear deal with Iran and experiments conducted by the Korea Achammalah.anthy 29
