UN envoy in Iraq: government restructuring is the first step to open the way for reform

UN envoy in Iraq, Jan Kubis submit its quarterly report for the second this year to the UN Security Council during a session dealing with the situation in Iraq.

Kubis stressed in his report that the restructuring of the government is the first step to open the way to reform and improve the lives of Iraqis, stressing that these efforts should include the consolidation of transparency and anti-corruption.

He condemned Kubis in his killings, abductions, rape and torture continued by al Daash also expressed concern over the possession of the terrorist organization of chemical weapons and its ability to launch attacks on civilians are prohibited. And on the humanitarian crisis Kubis said that the international community does not fill only fifteen percent of the funds required for relief operations displaced Iraqis.

Security Council discusses the situation in Iraq tomorrow

The United Nations Mission in Iraq reported, that the UN Security Council will hold a session on Friday, deals with the situation in Iraq.

According to UNAMI statement received by all of Iraq [where] a copy of it, that "it is expected that the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jan Kubis, gave a briefing shortly after the start of the session."

He added that "the meeting will be held at ten o'clock in the morning New York time [five in the afternoon Baghdad time]."
