Conclusion of the special training workshop to prepare the second strategy for poverty alleviation in Iraq

Concluded in the Jordanian capital Amman events for the second training workshop to prepare the strategy for poverty alleviation in Iraq under the auspices of the World Bank.

Participants point in the most important workshop challenges and obstacles encountered in the arrival of the strategy first to the objectives set for it, particularly the absence of a will, and the weakness of the financial allocations earmarked its financial and administrative corruption and failure to respond to a lot of provincial councils with the objectives of the strategic plans and the weakness of the technical staff on the Application of the strategy in the provinces as well as landing oil prices as well as the emergence of events Daash in mid-2014, which prompted a major displacement operations in hot provinces raised the poverty rate in Iraq to significant levels .oatvq participants to continue their meetings within the technical Committee with a view to formulating a strategy

The first strategy, which was launched for the period from 2014-2010, has been extended until 2016, it consisted of six axes of the most important social protection, health, education, housing and participated in the formulation and implementation of various ministries concerned Avaljh poverty in Iraq. Fixed to alleviate poverty and overcome the obstacles faced by the first application of the strategy.
