General Customs declares readiness of the Kurdistan region to apply tariffs

It revealed the General Customs Authority, on Thursday, the readiness of the Kurdistan region for the application of the tariff, referring to the agreement with the provincial officials to hold a meeting to determine the value in Baghdad to issue tables to determine the value of a unified application.

The director of the Authority, Kazim Ali Abdullah said in a statement that "the region said he is ready for it, as it translated the entire system to the Kurdish language and there is a committee of the Ministry of Finance met the province to activate this matter."

He added that "there is an understanding to ensure that the Authority to train a group of provincial officials on the application of the tariff, by opening three courses at once, as well as discuss the issue of unification of value because it basically in customs duty and tax implications on the calculation."

Abdullah pointed out "arrangement with regional officials to hold a meeting to determine the value in Baghdad to issue tables determine a uniform value to be applied."
