The United Nations Security Council will hold a session on the situation in Iraq on Wednesday.
"The meeting will be held on Wednesday at 10 am New York time (5 pm Baghdad time) and the UN Special Representative for Iraq Jan Kubic is expected to brief shortly after the start of the meeting," the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) said in a statement. "He said.
"The Special Representative will be briefed on developments in Iraq and the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI)."
