Abadi is considering launching a package of reforms that would include freezing the powers of three ministers

Informed political sources on Monday announced the intention of Prime Minister Haider Abadi to launch a new package of reforms, including freezing the work of a number of ministers services in response to the demands of the demonstrators.

The sources told the Journal News that "Abadi will take reform measures, including the launch of financial allocations and increase water payments to the southern provinces, especially Basra, as well as the freezing of the work of three ministries of service."

"Abadi will manage these ministries by proxy until the formation of the new government."

The Minister of Electricity Qassem Fahdawi has confirmed on Monday that the meeting of the Council of Ministers, which will be held on Tuesday will see the issuance of decisions on the sense of the file of electricity and other services.

A number of central and southern governorates witnessed large demonstrations that led to the storming of demonstrators by a number of government buildings in protest against the deterioration of the reality of electricity, water scarcity and the decline of services.
