The Iraqi Trade Bank revealed on Sunday the imminent launch of an investment portfolio in dollars and another segment linked to Iraq's foreign bonds, which achieved unexpected results, pointing to signing a contract with General Electric to finance the Ministry of Electricity.

"The bank has signed a contract to finance the Ministry of Electricity with GE to improve the energy situation in the country," Faisal Al-Himes, general manager of the bank, said in an interview with Al-Zaman newspaper. "Two portfolios are under construction, Investment in dollars and other fragmented linked to foreign bonds launched by Iraq and made amounts exceeded all expectations. "

He pointed out that "the leading role reached by the bank prompted international and regional banks to provide facilities and credit ceilings reflected on ministries and government departments and the import of needs in a similar manner to the term," explaining that "past experiences have contributed significantly to the development of the work of the bank and the status of advanced among international banks "He said.

"The bank has been able, during the period of restoring confidence to the citizen by issuing different products that benefit both parties and also keep the money from being stolen or burned."
