Dulaimi said in a press statement that "the ministers of interior and defense were subject to a settlement and there is a semi-final agreement on the two names specified between the political blocs, but the Ministry of Defense remained the Alliance of Reform and Interior Alliance Building."

"The rest of the ministries also saw semi-final agreements between the political blocs and in the first session of the parliament will be held next Tuesday, will vote on the remaining eight ministers of the government of Abdul-Mahdi."

The Iraqi parliament voted last week on 14 ministers in the list presented by the new prime minister.
