Samson:  A demonstration in front of the central bank building to demand accountability of the perpetrators of the damage of 7 billion

Demonstrated dozens in front of the Central Bank building in Baghdad, on Friday, to demand accountability of the perpetrators of the destruction of 7 billion dinars in Rafidain Bank. 

"The demonstrators raised banners condemning the central bank's policy of currency damage and demanded the disclosure of the perpetrators of the destruction of seven billion as the people's money."  "They rejected the justifications of the central bank, which said that the money was destroyed because of the damage caused by the entry of rainwater into the treasury of the Rafidain Bank." 

It is noteworthy that the governor of the Central Bank Ali al-Alaq, has said that the bank was forced to destroy 7 billion dinars as a result of leakage of rain water to the treasury of the Rafidain Bank in 2013.    LINK

Samson:  Barham Saleh discusses with Razzaz the file of the return of Iraqi funds frozen and smuggled

Barham Saleh praised Jordan's supportive stance in fighting the terrorist organization, calling for the importance of raising the level of coordination between the countries of the region to combat and eliminate the scourge of terrorism.  The President of the Republic pointed out the importance of securing the trade route between the two countries, urging Jordanian companies to invest in Iraq due to the country's favorable environment.

The President of the Republic d. Barham Saleh, stressed the need to activate the joint agreements between the Republic of Iraq and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, pointing to the depth of relations between the two brotherly countries. This came during a meeting with Jordanian Senate Speaker Faisal Akef at his residence in the Jordanian capital Amman on Thursday, and discussed means of enhancing joint cooperation between the two countries in all fields in the interest of the two brotherly peoples.  

The President of the Republic d. Barham Saleh deepened the historical relations between the two brotherly countries, stressing the need to activate the bilateral agreements between Iraq and Jordan.  In his turn, the Speaker welcomed the visit of Dr. Barham Saleh and his accompanying delegation to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, stressing his country's efforts to reach the best levels of cooperation, joint work and relations between Amman and Baghdad.   LINK

Samson:  Iraq ranks first among the world's most Internet-bound countries

Samson:  Trump calls on Congress to support his candidate for US ambassador to Iraq

US President Donald Trump called on the Senate to support his candidate for US ambassador to Iraq, Matthew Toler.

Samson:  Washington: We will press Baghdad to distribute wealth to Iraqis
