(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) A delegation from the General Authority of the Federal Customs, on Monday, the Kurdistan region in the efforts to unify customs tariff between the parties.
The Director-General of Customs in the Ministry of Finance and Economy in the regional government, Samal Abdul Rahman, in a press statement, that is scheduled to visit a delegation of customs in the federal government today, the city of Erbil, in order to unify customs tariffs.
He added that "many meetings were held in the past to unify the customs work system between the two parties, but in general the customs tariff on the amounts of taxes and graphics are large, while the customs tariff in the Kurdistan region has been established as a basis for issuing a new tariff for the parties and there is an attempt to develop a tariff as a balanced motor For the benefit of traders. "
"The tariffs imposed by the customs authority are often higher than those we impose, so it was agreed to make the customs tariff for the Kurdistan region the basis for the new unified tariff," he said.
"We seek to be a new tariff in the interest of traders and citizens."
The Federal Customs Commission on November 7 with the Directorate General of Customs in the Kurdistan region on 27 points linked to customs, including the use of the Kurdish language in addition to Arabic in all correspondences associated with customs transactions in Iraq, but Baghdad has not begun to implement the agreement so far.
