The government exempts 371 Jordanian goods from customs duties

The Iraqi government decided to exempt 371 Jordanian goods from customs duties.
According to a document issued by the Ministry of Finance, 'Al-Madar' obtained a copy of 'Exemption list of Jordanian products submitted by the Ministry of Industry and Minerals of the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 293 of 2016'.
In 2017, the Iraqi authorities agreed to exempt 371 Jordanian goods from customs duties to enter their markets. Jordan's Minister of Industry and Trade, Yaroub al-Qudah, said the government was making efforts to obtain new exemptions from its commercial partner.

Former Jordanian MP: 75% of Iraqi goods were exempted from taxes in Jordan
Former Jordanian MP Mahmoud al-Kharabsheh revealed on Thursday that 75 percent of Iraqi goods were exempted from taxes in Jordan, pointing out that Jordan's relations with Iraq came back to life after its victory over "Khawarj the time is urging."
Kharabsheh said in a televised statement that "our openness to Iraq is a source of happiness for all Jordanians. The Jordanian King's visit to Iraq revived relations between Iraq and Iraq.
He added that "Jordan's position on Iraq is stable and the Jordanian people are keen on Iraq. The nature of the Jordanian relationship with Iraq is not linked to political engagement, especially as there are common interests and visions linking Iraq with Jordan."
"Iraq is a deep and fertile ground for Jordan, and the cost of producing Iraq's oil pipeline via Aqaba is 17 billion dollars," he said.
He added that "75% of Iraqi goods were exempt from taxes in Jordan, and that there is a new Jordanian approach towards protecting Iraqi national security. The Jordanian prime minister will not allow harm to Iraqi national security through Jordan,
