US consul in Basra: Iraqi economy will enter the stage of global trade relations

(Independent) ... US Consul in Basra province Timmy Davis, said that foreign companies want to expand investment opportunities with Iraq, indicating that the Iraqi economy will enter international trade relations.



"Washington wants to work for the prosperity of the Iraqi economy by entering into global trade relations and we want success for Basra," Davis said in a speech at a consultative seminar titled "Iraq's Path to Economic Development through Excellence" at the NIA headquarters. Ages to "lay the foundations for the benefit of people and help the Iraqi economy."

He added that "representatives of foreign companies want to work in Iraq, and there is a possibility to develop the relationship and open the way to exchange ideas and expand investment opportunities in several areas, and representatives currently in Basra, representing businessmen."

He pointed out that "Washington is committed to be a good partner for Iraq and open wide areas, but it is not strange to see many representatives of US companies in Iraq, especially in southern Iraq."
