Supreme Judicial Council announced Friday, for the issuance of an arrest warrant for former central bank governor and a number of officials in corruption cases.

A spokesman for the Supreme Judicial Council, Abdul Sattar Bayraktar said in a press statement, "The Iraqi authorities issued arrest warrants for former central bank governor Sinan al-Shabibi and some other officials", without giving further details.
