Parliamentary Foreign Affairs: Countries that did not agree among themselves met in Baghdad

Baghdad - The member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Rehan Hanna Ayoub, said Saturday that the countries that did not agree with each other met in Baghdad today, indicating that the major transformations in the foreign diplomatic process has made Iraq an area to attract those countries.


"Baghdad, after its great victories over terrorist organizations, has become the focus of attention of all countries, especially the countries of the region, as well as the great transformations in the diplomatic process of parliamentary foreign affairs that have made Iraq a magnet for these countries," Hanna said in a statement received by Al- Furat News .

She added that "the large movements of the three presidencies and political programs put forward by the government in foreign dealings are all in the interest of Iraq," noting that "the countries that did not agree with each other met in Baghdad today."

"The response of the heads of the parliaments in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Syria, Jordan and Kuwait to come to Baghdad despite the differences and conflicts that were hovering over most of them, is a real transition to restore Iraq to its real role in the region after moving away from his position for several decades because of the policies that made him away from attendance "He said.

Baghdad is currently hosting a conference of parliaments of Iraq's neighboring countries at the invitation of Parliament Speaker Mohamed Halboussi , in a high-level official presence of the countries of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Syria, Turkey, Iran and Jordan.
