Parliamentary: 4 figures presented to Abdul Mahdi to take over the Interior

A member of the parliamentary bloc MP Ahmad al-Kanani, said Sunday that the political blocs submitted four candidates for the post of Interior Ministry, noting that Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi is now considering the selection of the right person.

Al-Kanani said in a statement to "Trend Press" that "four candidates are competing for the post of the Ministry of the Interior, and it is up to Abdul-Mahdi in his consent to the appropriate personality," noting that "there is almost agreement on the resolution of vacant ministries (defense and interior, justice and education) "He said.

He added that "there are ongoing negotiations between the political blocs in order to resolve the remaining ministries, and will provide personalities to the exchange of Abdul-Mahdi in preparation for the vote in the coming sessions," pointing out that "Abdul-Mahdi asked the political blocs to nominate ministers as soon as possible."

Kanani pointed out that "delaying the resolution of the ministries will negatively affect the mechanism of implementation of the government program," noting that "the delay in the delay of the political blocs to the names of candidates did not agree."
