The Association of Iraqi Private Banks Holds a Course on "Managing Troubled Debts and their Methods of Treatment"

The Association of Iraqi Private Banks on Sunday held a training course entitled "Management of Troubled Debts and Methods of Treatment" at the headquarters of the Association, with the participation of 42 trainees from government and private banks.

The director of administration and training in the Association of Iraqi private banks, Ahmed Hashemi, said in an interview with "Economy News" that "the course was established by the Association in cooperation with the Central Bank of Iraq and a group of joint efforts, and aims to develop the skills of bank staff working in the departments of collection of bad debts, And to address them through the use of modern methods used in the countries of the world, "noting that the session lasts for five days.

Hashemi added that "the most important topics to be discussed are the study of indicators of loan defaults and follow-up of loans subject to rescheduling and the definition of non-performing loans and their causes and explain the methods of banking treatment of troubled investment projects."

"The participants will receive a certificate of participation from the Central Bank and the Association of Iraqi private banks."
