Economic Council of Ministers announces from Erbil customs and agricultural decisions

The Economic Committee of the Council of Ministers announced on Monday a number of customs and agricultural decisions in cooperation and coordination with the provincial government.
The Committee said in a statement received by Alsumaria News, a copy of it, it "held a joint meeting with the Kurdistan Regional Government to discuss the obstacles and the implementation of the decision of the Council of Ministers in the Federal Government No. (13) for the year 2019."
"The committee has taken a number of decisions, including the provincial government to take the necessary legal measures to take the recommendations of the record signed between the Border Ports Authority and representatives of the provincial government to unify the procedures in all outlets of the Republic of Iraq, including legislative procedures within a period of (6) months."
"The committee also decided to form a joint committee between representatives of the two governments and in the presence of representatives of the companies examining the agreement on the mechanism of inspection of imported goods within a period not exceeding 60 days in order to preserve the health of citizens and the environment.
She pointed out that "the Committee has also taken a decision on the unification of quarantine and veterinary measures and activating the work of the committees formed in the Ministry of Agriculture in the federal government and the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources in the region."
The Council of Ministers' Resolution No. (13) for the year 2019 states in one of its paragraphs concerning the study of the file of unification of customs duties at all ports and facilitating the smooth flow of goods in all governorates.
It is worth mentioning that the ministerial economic affairs committee includes ministers of finance, planning, oil, industry, minerals and agriculture, as well as the governor of the Central Bank, the head of the National Investment Authority, the economic adviser to the prime minister and the agents of the ministries of planning and trade.
