Mashat: private sector economic development engine and the government to launch its facilities

A member of the economic business council, Baqir al-Mashat, stressed on Thursday the need for government attention to the private sector, stressing that the private sector is an engine for economic development in Iraq.


"The private sector is the engine of economic development that achieves the economic well-being of the country," Mashat said in a press release. "The government is launching private sector facilities to support public sector companies within the national economy."


He pointed out that "the Trillionar initiative for small and medium enterprises launched by the Central Bank of Iraq to try to reform from bottom to top to create the private sector."


He continued: "There remains a lot of duty to work in the awareness of the collective mind the possibility of creating wealth and employment opportunities," stressing that "in creating the private sector an opportunity to gain the project and the promotion of ethics of service and integrity."
