(Baghdad: Al Furat News) Cabinet decided, in its first meeting on Tuesday, the appointment of a new governor of the Central Bank of Iraq.


According to a document of the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers got the agency {Euphrates News} a copy of them, the Council "decided to recommend to the House of Representatives to appoint [Ali Abdul Amir Allawi] governor of the Central Bank, based on the provisions of Article 1 of the First Amendment Law of the Central Bank of Iraq.

And the appointment of Salah Nuri Khalaf as Chairman of the Federal Financial Control Bureau, based on the provisions of Article 23 of the Law of the Financial Control Bureau.

The Cabinet also requested the Council of Representatives to appoint Mohammed Abdul-Hadi Mohammad Taqi Al Hakim as Advisor to the Prime Minister, Fayyad Hassan Ne'ma as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, Hamed Younis Saleh Al-Zobaie as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil and Adel Kareem Kak Ahmed as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil. The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers has sent a recommendation to the Parliament to vote on the names of candidates for positions of special grades, including the Governor of the Central Bank after approval by the Council of Ministers.

According to the document issued by the Secretariat on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, which was addressed to the Parliament, it included the names of candidates for the positions of special grades, after obtaining the approval of the Council of Ministers on July 23, 2019.

The names are Ali Abdul Amir Allawi for the post of Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Salah Nuri Khalaf for the post of Chief of the Financial Control Bureau, Mohammed Abdul Hadi Mohammad Taqi Al Hakim for the post of Advisor to the Prime Minister, Fayadh Hassan Nema for the post of Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil and Hamid Yunis Saleh Al Zobaie for the post of Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil , And Adel Karim Kak Ahmed as undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry.
