MilitiaMan:  The following is what catches my eye of late. I have had input from the Basra Boyz and a few others that seem to feel as I do. The IMF is in support for Iraq. They do things with strict protocols. They know what they are doing. Iraq imo knows it too. They have been under consultation for many years. Now Iraq has been given the green light we see things like this. International cards to use.. ~ MM

DELTA:  Dinar Card

The dinar card and our local currency but with global characteristics and uses

1. Used to shop over the internet.
2. Used for payment through P.O.S points of sale around the world.
3. Used for cash withdrawals from the ATM.
4. Write the customer’s name on the card.
5. The card is issued in Iraqi dinar currency.
6. Valid for one year.

MilitiaMan:  The Dinar Card is something to not forget. They are telling us the cards will be international. I'll bet they are not activated yet, as there is no international rate applied thus far. That will come though. IMO in short order too. Why issue them if your not going to be able to use them? You don't. My understanding is they are effectively a multi currency card too.  So, if that is what they are for too? Then ease of use in conversion into other countries when traveling is at their finger tips. High tech now.. A good thing.  ~ MM

MilitiaMan:  The chronology of things happening are so very succinct now. The IMF has imo given Iraq support. We notice all the corruption articles now. Well imo they are not new nor were they opened yesterday. They have been a work in progress. The IMF would have needed to know things like Maliki's on goings and many others, prior to giving their support for Iraq to lift the exchange restrictions. They did that this last week ~ MM.

MilitiaMan:   So with all the above we can see that the IMF is clearly supporting Iraq now by lifting the restrictions and telling the world and investors that the IMF has released Iraq per or from  a job well done and is effectively giving Iraq the approval to raise the rate, imo. 

Investors now will have confidence in doing business, thus, all the corruption news out getting sorted now and even from Jordan!

Add in the rejection of bank notes being something that shows Iraq is gearing to lift the rate too, as the rejection of notes is due to they know the inferior (lesser value) currencies to the IQD will be coming in and in abundance.

They want the notes inspected closely.. Clear signs.. Very clear imo. With the IMF giving support for Iraq bodes well that they are now in a go time zone.   imo ~ MM

Samson:  Iraq and Kuwait discuss the establishment of a free trade zone between the two countries

Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Mohammad Al-Halbusi said Monday that talks with his Kuwaiti counterpart Marzouq Al-Ghanim discussed the establishment of a free trade zone between the two countries to facilitate the movement of goods and businessmen, stressing that the Kuwait International Donors Conference is an important step. Which had been devoted to concrete projects on the ground at the International Donor Conference.
 
"The Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohammed Al Halbusi and his accompanying delegation held official talks with the Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly Marzouq Al Ghanim on Monday in the presence of the Kuwaiti Development Fund Director, Marwan Al-Ghanim," said Al-Halbusi's office in a statement received by Alsumaria News. He added that the talks dealt with ways to enhance joint cooperation between Kuwait and Iraq in all fields, especially parliamentary and economic, and the results of the Kuwait International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq.
 
The statement quoted Al Halbusi, saying that "Iraq is witnessing a great harmony between the three presidencies and high coordination, and there is keen to strengthen relations with Arab neighbors, including Kuwait, and work seriously to resolve all outstanding problems in the interest of the two neighboring peoples and maintain the sovereignty of the two countries.  For his appreciation of Kuwait's contribution to international forums and its positions on Arab and Islamic issues and its support for Iraq. "The Kuwait International Donors Conference is an important step, and we must work to establish a clear mechanism to activate it in how to transfer these funds to projects and start implementation."
 
For his part, Al-Ghanim pointed out that "the recent mutual visits between the two countries have contributed to the strengthening of relations to a great extent and in the interest of the two brotherly peoples." He stressed that "there is high coordination among parliamentarians in all regional and international forums, which reflected positively on the positions of the two countries, And in more than one forum."
 
Al-Ghanim pointed out that "as a complement to the reconstruction conference of Iraq, Prince Sabah directed the executive and legislative authorities in the State of Kuwait to expedite the transfer of funds allocated at the International Conference of donors to concrete projects on the ground."   LINK
