Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohammed Halbousi extended his condolences to the Iraqi people and the Islamic nation on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (as).


A statement from the office of al-Halbousi received "news": "We condole the Iraqi people and the Islamic nation by the tenth of Muharram, the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein and his family, peace be upon them in the event of timeless kindness."


He continued: "On this painful occasion we draw inspiration and lessons and the meanings of human lofty Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) revolution in defense of the principles of freedom and justice in the face of injustice and tyranny, it is a revolution of reform and change of reality."


He added: "We remember in this painful anniversary of the martyrs of Iraq, the righteous who have sacrificed their lives;


He also praised the efforts of the security forces in all their forms and categories and all those who contributed in securing the visit and provide services and provide the appropriate atmosphere for the distinguished visitors, asking God Almighty to grant the country security and peace.
