Recovery of $ 135 million to the Iraqi State Treasury

The Integrity Commission revealed on Wednesday that the total amounts recovered to the state treasury; as a result of the investigation and scrutiny on the subject of violations of the contracts of the oil products distribution company with two investment companies amounted to more than (135,000,000) million US dollars.

The Investigations Department in the Authority said in a statement today that its efforts resulted in the recovery of $ (85,492,886) million for the benefit of the distribution of oil products through the team of investigation, audit and investigation written by the breaches of the contract signed with an investment company for fuel consumed to produce electric power; Submission of supporting documents for consumer fuel (imported).

The Department confirmed that the process of recovering the amount from the investment company was through the payment of $ (27,796,449) million for the remainder of the amount spent on fuel consumed to produce electric power, and reduce the amount ($ 22,541,427) million of its receivables for the contract of processing power and refining quantities charged to the interest The Ministry of Oil in April 2019, in addition to the fine imposed on it ($ 35,441,010) million for the deviation of specifications of fuel oil and added to its entitlements for the contract for the supply of electric power for the year 2017.

She added that the audit of the industrial activity in the Federal Audit Bureau confirmed the recovery of the amount of (85,492,886) million dollars from the investment company, pointing out that the oil products distribution company has made a restrictive settlement under which the amount of (79,238,806) million dollars of the company's dues for the electricity contract and download Of the amounts recorded by the Ministry of Electricity, explaining that the installation and calibration of meters for the investment power plant resulted in stopping waste in public money that occurs;

It is worth mentioning that the Authority announced on 25/8/2019 the recovery of the amount of (50,181,722) million from another investment company; as a result of the investigation of breaches of a contract for the distribution of oil products company, bringing the total recoveries to the company ($ 135,674,608) million.
