Parliamentary Finance: The government reduced the budget deficit in 2020 to 37 trillion

The parliamentary Finance Committee, on Wednesday, the government to reduce the budget deficit in 2020 from 72 trillion dinars to about 37 trillion, indicating that the figure will be reduced as directed by the International Monetary.

Committee member Jamal Seydou said in a statement to the information that "the government has put the estimated budget on the basis of the needs of the provinces and districts without any reduction, which amounted to about 72 trillion dinars."

Sido said, "Checking the figures and the cancellation of some projects and demands of the provinces led to a reduction in the budget deficit by about 37 trillion as well as the reduction of the general budget of about 139 trillion."

He pointed out that "the government will resort to reduce the deficit after arriving permanently because of the request of the International Monetary and regulatory bodies to reduce the budget deficit and rely on non-oil sources." Ended / 25 KD
